Fashion Week Ocala brings fashion home by turning the spot light on our talented designers and connecting them with their roots. We strive to solidify community ties by showcasing emerging designers, highlighting Ocala's top small businesses and focusing attention on our essential community charities.
Fashion Week's Founders
Amanda Bullard is an Ocala native who would not have it any other way. This entrepreneurial mother loves to say she will have it all. With a degree from the Art Institutes, she took her passion for business and fashion and made a life of love. She is a stylist whose work has been seen on the runways of Nieman Marcus, Saks Fifth AVE, Escada, and Calvin Klein, has worked for various Fashion Weeks, including Fashion for a Cure hosted by Carson Kressley, and many other style tours.
Born and raised on a Thoroughbred horse farm, Brooke Counts was heavily involved in 4-H and graduated from the University of Florida's College of Agriculture and Life Science with a focus on Dairy Industry. After extensive traveling, she settled back in Ocala with her husband and started a family. In 2012 she founded Simply Sunless, an exclusive airbrush tanning studio. The mission of her business is to provide a high quality, safe alternative to tanning.
With Amanda’s fashion sense and Brooke’s love for the community, their instant friendship, gave birth to Fashion Week Ocala. Their combined desire is to empower the community, solidify charitable ties, and spotlight all that encompasses Marion County’s roots.
We have but one question: Ocala, are you ready for this movement?
